Diecutting

Select your paper weight and grade carefully to achieve crisp precision die cuts, and take extra precautions if using overly delicate or lacy patterns. Consider how your material will be used. If the die cut is part of a self-mailer or if it is to be run through a laser jet printer, tearing may occur. When designing, never place die-cuts too close to the edge of the paper. Check with us, taking your paper weight and grade into consideration before finalizing a design concept that incorporates a die cut. Another way to ensure that there will not be problems is to create a handmade dummy from the actual stock. Tip: Give up front consideration to how your piece will be folded. Certain folding processes can cause tearing or limit your die-cutting options. When using other special techniques, such as stamping or embossing, in conjunction with die-cutting... the die-cutting process always comes last!
