Setting Bleeds
Setting a project up to bleed properly is often overlooked, but is a relatively simple technicality that can help speed your projects along. By adding 1/8" to each side of the document, your colors or images will extend past the trim size, or where your crop marks appear. The additional 1/8" of an inch around the margin of your project will provide us with some breathing room when the printed piece goes to the bindery for final trimming. NOTE: Be careful not to simply stretch an image to bleed because it may become distorted. +/- 10% is acceptable to keep an image's natural look.
